Pottery Workshop: Make your own Bollington Bear
We have run out of stock for this item.
Come along and join me in my studio to hand build your very own Bollington Bear. You will be provided with earthenware clay, tools, my hands on help and inspiration with many cutters and moulds so that you can design your own unique bear.
The workshop is 3 hours long. Children from 9 upwards welcome - why not build a family of bears?
More details below of what to expect:
You'll get a measured piece of Italian white earthenware clay to work with. Your clay, firings, underglazes, and glazes are all included in the price of the workshop.
You'll make one medium-sized Bollington Bear or two smaller bears.
What will I Learn?
You will learn to manipulate the clay pinch pot style; slab a suitable-sized base and learn how to attach it to the bear with slip. You'll cut clay with cutters or use sprig moulds to attach pieces to decorate the bear along with his features. Come with an idea if you can of what you'd like to create with your bear - but don't worry I have plenty of ideas to share.
